Review of Norelco Satin Ice Epilator - HP6492

I don't remember precisely why I selected this model in the first place. Some reviews I suppose. I found that it works quite well. Really better than I expected. Now it seems to be unavailable, so I bought the Panasonic 3 in 1 which is totally useless by comparison.
I'll concede that these things are not totally durable for mens hair. I've found that they last approximately 6 months with substantial/heavy use about twice a week. Its better not to let too much growth come back or the job becomes too time-consuming. There are some plastic gears, which I assume are meant to fail if one gets the thing jammed on some pinched skin. However, then its broken and you are SOL.
I'm a cyclist and have been using it as an alternative to waxing or shaving my legs. It works well. It doesn't get the smallest hairs, but makes shaving unnecessary or extremely easy as a secondary process.

Review of Norelco 6826XL Quadra Action Cord/Cordless Rechargeable Men's Shaver

I bought the Norelco 6826XL online and have been using it for several months. I feel so strongly about this shaver that although I've spent quite a bit at Amazon and other online sites, I've never bothered writing a review until now.

Simply put this is the best electric shaver I've used in my 30+ years of shaving; and I've owned quite a few. I was reluctant to order it sight unseen, but I'm glad I did. It shaves smoother, more comfortably, and quicker than I could have reasonably expected. The battery hold a charge for a ridiculously long period of time.A feature I especially appreciate is the ability to rinse the heads under runing water.This alone is almost worth the price of admission. The carrying case is a bit cumbersone but I don't mind. I can't really find any faults worth mentioning.It's not perfect, but close enough for me.

This shaver offers few bells and whistles that don't directly improve shaving quality.It just shaves great, which is all that matters.

I received this electric razor as a Christmas gift.I have always used a quad-blade manual razor with excellent results.I was anxious to try the "close as a razor" claim.It works very well, but it definitely is not close as a razor.It does a very nice job, but I still have to use my manual razor around my neck as it doesn't do a very good job in that area.The one amazing thing about this razor is the battery life.I charged it up for the 8 hours on Christmas day and the first time I had to re-charge it was February 20th!That is using it 5-6 times a week.All in all, it is a very nice razor and I would recommend it, but don't go throwing away your manual razor if you have a really coarse beard like I do.

Review of NORELCO T970 AccuVac Vacuum Trimmer

I had a Norelco T990, but was disappointed when the battery died after only two years. The battery is welded in and needs to be replaced by a professional (or someone who knows what they are doing). The last shaver shop around here disappeared a few months ago. So the T990 became land fill (I ripped out the old battery and recycled it). It is, unfortunately, a lot cheaper to buy a new shaver than to replace the battery! The new T970 is much inferior to the old one I had. The "AccuVac" system barely works. Instead of just letting hairs fall into the bathroom sink, the hairs are supposed to land in a little "drawer" that you pull out and empty. So now I have a new job, emptying the shaver, which is recommended that you do each time it is used. The hairs actually get stuck just above this little drawer, so you have to get them out with the little enclosed brush. If you want to use the narrow shaver blade, you have to manually exchange the blades. This was much easier in the other model, where the narrow blade simply extended and retracted. The trimmer gadget that separates you from your beard (that adjusts in height) is much harder to put back on than it used to be on the old model.
Find another shaver, and preferably another brand.

Review of Norelco Acu-Control Beard Moustache Trimmer T760

This product is really appropriate only for facial hair. It will not give a shave or trim that is remotely close to the skin. It will not trim shorter than about a 1/4 inch. In addition, the charge does not hold for very long. It remains charged for about 5mins. so you have to work quickly. However, you will get longer than 5 mins. of use if you used it while it remains plugged into an outlet. I would recommend it strictly as a grooming tool for facial hair.

Review of NORELCO 8140XLSN Shaver & Stainless Steel Manicure Kit

I've been using Norelco's shaver for about 4 month, and it seems to weak. I had a Hitachi that had a single moving unit with blade under one foil. from the late 80s, and it had more power than this 8140XL. I though it would be speedy, but in fact it misses a few stubble here and there. It works very gently. Shaving goes much faster with the old skool double bladed razor. So much for my high expectation. I paid $77, but I could have just gotten top of the line the Panasonic for $50, and it would probably have done a better job.

Review of Norelco 9160XL SmartTouch-XL Men's Shaver

I've been using Norelcos for years and they always gave a great shave UNTIL this model. The speed of the shaver is audibly slower than all previous models. This makes for a far more uncomfortable shave, pulling in places. I still have my previous model (8825) which gives a FAR more superior shave to this 9160XL. My blanket trust of Norelco is no longer there and I am suspicious of new models based on my great disappointment with this one. When I called Norelco to complain, the woman on the other end didn't seem too concerned and said I was stuck with it. It was a Christmas gift that I didn't start using until after the 30 day period had passed. 2 stars is the most I can give and even that's a stretch.

Review of Norelco T765 AccuTrim Beard and Moustache Trimmer (Color May Vary)

It seems like most products are reducing their packaging, reducing the number of ounces for which we pay the same price, and otherwise cheapening their product at our expense. I've owned Norelco beard trimmers for as long as I've had a beard, which is to say most of my adult life and when my old one finally burned out, I replaced it with this one, which was, theoretically, the same design as the old. Not so much. The motor doesn't seem to be as powerful. It doesn't hold a charge (for something that's supposed to be "rechargeable") for very long. It trims well enough, but not as well as the old one. Not sure what or why they did whatever it is they've done to this trimmer, but it's more toy-like than tool-like. It works well enough. And I mean that as faint praise.

Review of Norelco 6701X Cool Skin Additive In/Out of Shower Shaver

I've always been a regular razor kinda guy but noticed this Philips was suggested for straight razor types due to its ability to dispense gel or lotion. And it works great! I've dispensed with pre-shaves (hard to find any variety) and it can be used in the shower! I've no problems at all after 2 months, it's got a good battery life, I can shave for more than a week between charges, I highly recommend this razor. And I've got a tough beard that I used to finish with a regular razor after I shaved with an electric.
