These extended the life of my blades about 6 months. Not sure if the sandpaper wore out or the blades cannot be sharpened any more.

This is a good product, but not a great product.It will probably extend the amount of time the razor can be used by 50% before we buy replacement blades, but the quality of the shave after sharpening the blades is about 75% of what it would be with new (replacement) blades.You can save a few dollars for a while, but don't expect that sharpened blades will be as good as new blades.

I remember my grandpa telling me about razor blade sharpeners back in the great depression. Well here is the 2009 equivalent ... except this one really works and really does save money. Here is a secret that the package does not tell you. When you pop off the head of the razor you will notice a springy plastic spider that holds each of the 3 rotary heads and is attached to a central post. There is a little triangular fitting on top of that post that holds the spider. Look carefully at it: There is an arrow showing that it rotates. All you need to do is rotate it about 90 degrees and the heads come out and you can swap the 3 grinding wheels in this kit for the 3 blades. Reassemble and run for about 5 seconds. Works like brand new once you swap the blade back in.
