I bought this trimmer for the detail trimming on my poodle and it works great!I didn't want to use the big clippers on her face and paws, and the small size of this trimmer makes it easy to work with.It's a little noisy but she tolerates it just fine.The purchase of this trimmer plus the Wahl color pro clipper set was about the same as one trip to the groomers, so it has already paid for itself!

Review of Wahl Pocket Pro Trimmer

This has to be the best thing since sliced bread for keeping up with grooming a toy poodle! I've been looking at getting a small clipper for years and finally broke down and got this. It's fantastic! It's small, light and cordless (runs on AA battery.) The clipper blade has finely spaced teeth making it ideal for fussing around lips, eyes and toes. As the description says, this is not for body clipping... you still have to drag out the monster for that, but for the details it's perfect. This would also be super for anyone who wants to keep their poodle looking neat between trips to the groomer. You have to be a little careful to avoid razorburn even with these fine teeth but nothing like a regular clipper where you can easily cut the skin pretty badly. Best of all, it's so smallyou can tuck it in the bathroom drawer for quick trim ups and take it outside so the hair doesn't get all over your house. For dogs who are impatient with long grooming sessions, pulling this clipper out for five minute sessions over a period of time is a snap. Did I mention the low price? I don't see a downside to this clipper for what it is. The body is regular grade plastic but the blade is very nice, and a snap on cap protects it in the drawer. Yes, it really does work and it really is that cheap....

Review of Wahl Home Cut 16 Piece Complete Haircutting Kit

I just got this clipper purchased from Big Lots store for $13.It is a bit smaller in size and lighter in weight compared to the Wahl clippers made here in U.S.A. However, it still feels heavy and well-built.The blades looked smaller than the previous Wahl model I had.By the feel of it, I suspect it has a smaller (electromagnetic?) motor which might explain its less vibration and quietness.

This particular model is made in China (it is stated on its package) but it does not bother me much since it is doing a great job for my home trimming needs.I just hope it will last for years.One thing I like about this model, the guide combs fit snugly on the blade hence, it does not create additional noise unlike Wahl 79900N Clip-N-Trim 23-Piece Kit which I returned immediately the following day.

Bottom line, I am happy with this purchase especially the price I paid for it.

This product is one of the best of its type I have used, and it was one of the most reasonable priced. It cuts your hair clean with no pulling or cutter problems. It also comes with a clipper blade for cutting ear/sideburns/eyebrow hair, so you get two blades for the price of one.One great feature is you can wash the cutting head when finished. It has a two year warranty.

Review of Wahl 5537-1801 Cordless Battery Operated Beard Trimmer with Bonus Ear, Nose and Brow Trimmer

As far as the quality of the trimmer, you get what you pay for. I had a wahl trimmer for about 10 years that was plastic, but it was great. This one is cheap plastic that feels like its going to fall apart.The main drawback is that is sucks that battery life up fast.The first batteries i put in were cheap, so i upgraded to quality batteries with little difference.I use it every other day and i say batteries will last maybe a month if you dont mind the pulling when the batteries get worn down.
