Previously I owned what was probably Norelcos base model (think it sold for $30-50). It did an ok job, but tore up my face a bit if there was much growth at all.Thus, I usually ended up having to do some sort of a combination of blade and electric to keep a decent shave.After buying the 6735 I am now down to using only an electric.Being able to shave in the shower makes a huge difference in that I find I get a much closer shave and I don't end up with hair all over the bathroom... not to mention always having a nice clean razor.Would highly recommend this razor to anyone.Product Description
