Review of Norelco 6701X Cool Skin Additive In/Out of Shower Shaver

I've always been a regular razor kinda guy but noticed this Philips was suggested for straight razor types due to its ability to dispense gel or lotion. And it works great! I've dispensed with pre-shaves (hard to find any variety) and it can be used in the shower! I've no problems at all after 2 months, it's got a good battery life, I can shave for more than a week between charges, I highly recommend this razor. And I've got a tough beard that I used to finish with a regular razor after I shaved with an electric.

Review of Philips Norelco 7745X Cool Skin Lotion Dispensing Cordless Rechargeable Shaver

But now I'm not, for sure. I have tough skin, so shaving with a razor never left cuts for me. But it was a mixed blessing, because shaving with a razor, indeed, caused a rather bad acne problem until I switched to waxing for almost two years.

Waxing was great, but a pain to preform -- So I finally decided to spend my birthday money on an electric razor. All my friends insisted I'd regret it, and that they don't work. The whole usual spiel about getting a rash, and just wasting my money. But being the stubborn person I am, I had to find out for myself.

As usual, my friends were full of it.

First of all, not only do I not get acne with an electric razor, *but* I never got any rashes or irriation, even during the first week I used it. I have dark, black facial hair, that is somewhat thinned out due to the waxing. But they're also hard and 'fine'.

The electric, no, isn't literally as close as a true hand razor. But it's close enough for the conveniance -- It's quicker than a blade for me, and easier since I don't have to sit there digging hairs out of the blades so I could continue shaving.

I run it under warm water when I shave. For the lotion, it's great, but I have to be honest -- I barely use it. I use a pea-sized drop for each side of my face, and then the rest of the experience is all warm water. It works great, though, and I have no complaints. Not to mention that I've been using one lotion pouch for *weeks* now... But I guess I should mention I only need to shave every 2-3 days, not every day. A little stubble never hurt anyone. (And being a musician, I don't have to worry about leaving a good impression on office types.)

Overall I'm surprisingly satisfied. I also admittedly chose this one because it's an awesome green. My only REAL complaint is that, considering the nature of this razor, I can't shave between for my eyebrows. So for this, I've now gotten into the routine of tweezing, if only to avoid the putrid unibrow.

Review of Philips Norelco HP6492 Satinelle Ice Epilator

I absolutely love this product!Before finally purchasing the HP6492, I also tried the Braun 5270 and the Philips Norelco HP2843.The HP6492 is BY FAR the best!!The Braun product was horrible, very painful and with a bunch of useless gadgets that came with the product so they could charge more for it.The Philips HP2843 is an inexpensive product, but more painful than the HP6492.

The HP6492 is wonderful.Virtually painless and still at a reasonable price.By the way, I have used it on my legs, underarms and on the bikini area, and they were all manageable.

Definitely buy this one!!

Review of Remington R-91 Dual Head Rotary Rechargeable Travel Shaver

Ok, to start with I'm not a fan of Remington. So, I was kind of biased to start. But they pleasantly surprised me with this shaver for $30 (that's what I paid for it), decent shave (not the closest, but ok). But the main thing was that I haven't felt a thing while shaving (and I have sensitive skin) DRY!!! That's right. So, one star for being compact, and two stars for the smooth shave it gave me. I don't mind little stubble every morning, but I HATE when one of these rips my face to pieces.

P.S. Little summary below, and for all of yous with sensitive skin who hate shaving, this little bugger is a steal. (ppl w/sensitive skin READ 4 stars)

Pros:
- fits nicely in my hand (not TOO small or awkward)
- smooth (literally didn't feel a thing while shaving)

Cons:
- 16 hr charge (stone age, eh?)
- not washable and not water-resistant(need to re-e-e-ealy spend time cleaning it - 2 mins shaving + 6 mins cleaning)

Review of Panasonic ES2025V Epilator with Skin Protector System & Shaver Attachment

I have been using this epilator for 5 years and it never made me troubles. It is still working absolutely identical to the first day.
It hearts epilating sometimes, but not very much.
I purchased it in Russia, so it was 220 V. Now I moved in US and for this reason got another one (Braun 5270 Silk-épil X'elle Body System Epilator). So now I can compare.

This one is more painful, comparing to the Braun.

And it takes very long time. I did it usually ones in 2 - 4 weeks, and it was like the whole evening for the legs and underarms. I know that if you do it more often it takes less time, but with this product it is definitely more than 1 hour any time (usually it is 2-5 hours), so it was hard to made myself using it. I never have plenty of time, so it was the reason why I was combining it with shaving. (epilate and after 2-3 weeks start shaving before using it next time).
It has 2 speeds. I would call them 1) Very slow and 2) Slow. If it had the 3-rd "normal to fast" speed, I would give it 4 stars. But it hasn't.
But! I found that for underarms and some parts of bikini area (for all extremely sensitive parts with high density of hairs per sqare area) it performs better than Braun because of it slow speed. It becomes more delicate and less painful. (If you ask me about the Braun epilator I'd say it doesn't have a normal speed as well. It has 1) rather fast and 2) very fast.)
I don't recommend to buy it for bikini particular, though. Still hard to do, should be something better in our world. I purchased Emjoi EpiSlim (cosmetic hair remover for delicate areas and touch-ups) but I didn't try it yet.

And do not even think to use normal epilators (like this one and others) for your face! This is the worst idea ever! That should be something special, particularly for face. Otherwise you will look like a shaving man.
It is not this product problem, but just a wrong usage.

This is not very expencive and it works, at least. Not bad, I think.

Review of Norelco HP6319 LadyShave women's electric razor

My wife had used a different women's electric razor for many years.She was very pleased with this Norelco. The difference was between night and day.It shaved close without irritation.
