Review of NORELCO 7864 XL Quadra Action Cord/Cordless Men's Shaver

I used Norelco and Remington electric razors 20 years ago.They gave a good shave, but were too time consuming to clean.I have been using disposables until last week.I cut my chin once again and decided that I was through with disposables.I did extensive research and decided on Norelco.I was going to buy a Quadra or Spectra because they both have rinsable cutting heads and are made in Holland, not China.I was seriously considering the top model in each line, but I found that the second highest model could be had for half as much.While waiting for my 7864XL to be delivered I was wondering if I had made the right choice.When it arrived,I saw the 7864 for the first time and realized that I had made a wise choice.The shaver fully charged in an hour and gave a smooth, quiet shave.I hadn't shaved in a week, so the first shave took a little longer.The second shave was much quicker.It is so nice to open the cutter housing and rinse everything down the drain.This razor does everything that the literature promises.It fits the hand nicely.Shaving is so comfortable, I don't need the sensitivity adjustments of theSpectra. I really would like the digital display of the 7885/7886, but not enough to pay twice as much.
